Cookie Policy

This page explains how FlexTrip Alerts uses cookies and similar technologies. For broader privacy topics (account data, your rights, retention), see our Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by partners (for example Google) when you use parts of the site.

Cookies we set (first party)

These cookies are strictly necessary to run the service — sign-in, sessions, and secure Google authentication. They do not require advertising consent.

NamePurposeDuration
ft_sessionKeeps you signed in after login. HttpOnly — not readable by page JavaScript.Up to 30 days, or until you log out
ft_google_oauth_stateProtects Google sign-in from cross-site request forgery during the OAuth redirect.A few minutes (deleted after sign-in completes)
ft_google_oauth_nextRemembers which page to return you to after Google sign-in (for example your dashboard).A few minutes (deleted after sign-in completes)

Advertising cookies (third party)

We use Google AdSense to show display ads on some public pages. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement — for example cookies whose names start with __gads or __gpi.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google shows a consent message through Google Privacy & messaging (a certified consent platform). We do not run a separate cookie banner on this site. Personalised ads and their cookies load only if you choose Consent in that dialog.

Google's policies explain what they collect: How Google uses cookies in advertising, Google Privacy Policy.

How to change your choices

  • Advertising consent (EEA/UK/CH): use Manage options or Do not consentin Google's consent message when it appears. Clearing site data for flextripalerts.com may cause the message to show again on your next visit.
  • Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
  • Sign out: logging out ends your session and removes the session cookie from your browser.

Affiliate links are not cookies

Outbound booking links (for example "See deal") are separate from advertising cookies. They may earn us a commission but do not use the same consent dialog. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
